Hello,

first post here, I am thinking about building a flat pack house on some land I share with a friends in the country side. Its quite far out in the sticks so as a first sort of foray in the tangle of messy matters im sure there are about building on country land, ecology and planning i thought i would ask if anyone on here has any experence in something similar?

I've spoken to a company called Csa Environmental linky: Google "http://www.csaenvironmental.co.uk/" briefly and they assure me there is quite a lot of stuff i need to think about, so i am a little off put, but not totally.

i love the idea of this sort of thing: Google "http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1290552/Tesco-launches-DIY-flatpack-home-9-999-19-998-Clubcard-points.html"

Even if its your land you will need planning permission whatever you decide to construct. If you are working the land, and plan on living self sufficently they usually grant you permission, but if you move on, you will have to demolish the house and leave the land as you find it.And you cant sell the property on.
