Outdoor Living Space DIY Project Help Needed

Hello,
I would like to create a waterproof outdoor space at the back of the house and I am not sure whether I should go Pergola style or something else. My issue is that the back of the house is not straight therefore not sure about the roof slope and material to use. I am attaching some pictures.
