Fixing magnetic knife rack - without screws?

by allisonm67 » Mon Sep 08, 2008 2:30 pm

Hi

I have very little wall space in my kitchen (large windows) and the ideal place to site my magnetic knife rack would be on the very place where there are wires sunk into the wall.

Is there an adhesive type alternative that I could use to attach the rack to the wall (it would be going onto ceramic tiles), or would the act of pulling a knife off the rack against the magnet be too much for anything other than screws?

Many thanks for reading my post.

you could use double sided sticky tape with blobs of mastic.
the double sided tape will only hold the knife rack in place but the silicone will set holding it firmly in place.
