Hi can any one confirm that after having major water penatration that sealing the wall with a anti fungal liquid and plastering straight away will not cuase further problems, I am still having water leaking through in certain places and getting this matter addressed but rather concerned that the walls were not allowed to breathe prior to replastering - can the wall covered in black growth (major) where the plaster just fell away will not cause any further health issues like chest infections or will I need to do something else. I have not painted the plaster of yet just in case further water penatration occurs

pollypocket,
Unable to give a simple answer to your questions.
If you had water penetration and you still have this then it is pointless plastering until the source of the penetrating water has been removed.
Plastering a wet wall will not solve this damp problem and yes if you are susceptible to chest infections the black mould is not good.
