hi people,

im shortly going to be fixing a number of things to my walls.

I have dry lined walls with studs, joists or timber framing watever u like to call them.i will be fittng the likes of shelving, mirrors things along them lines to these walls of the kichen, bedrooms etc..

for the heavier kind of objects what plasterboard fixings would be suitable or what do you recommend? self drive, self sprung plastic toggle or possibly anchor fixings, you hear all different kinds of feedback!
and also could i use one of these and just screw into them, rather than have the hassle of finding the timber studs behind and screwing into them also. would this be secure enough?

from what i can make out as long as i use the correct fixing this could be ok,i have done a bit of research but need more advice....

Thanks..

For heavy objects go right through the plasterboard and fix into the brickwork behind.
