Plasterboard Fixings - and proximity to other holes...

Hi,
I've tried hanging a heavy mirror (13kg) using some of the nylon expanding plugs on a plasterboard wall and it became obvious as soon as i hung the mirror that they weren't going to do the job so i took them down again.
I'll get some redidrive to do the job properly but i now have 2x 8mm holes in the plasterboard where i've removed the old fittings but ideally i'd like to fit the new Redidrive in the same place.
If i just fill those holes and move an inch or two to one side and fit the redidrives, will this leave enough strength in the plasterboard to hold the mirror?
Thanks,
Andy.
