Ceiling Curtain Rail Fixing Hole Repair and Rehanging Curtain Rail

Hi,

I had great difficulty installing a curtain rail a couple of months ago; in hindsight i may have drilled the original hole slightly too big, and the hole ended up swallowing a couple of raw plugs. I eventually got a self tapping plasterboard raw plug which did the job, that is until that failed also.

I want to repair this and get the curtain rail back up. But as the plasterboard appears to have disappeared, i guess i need to drill it in another place (a couple of inches further along!)

In terms of fixing the hole, im assuming that polyfilla would be fine, which i can then re-paint (it will be behind the curtain so not on show!)?

Also, any idea why this happened? I thought that the auger style raw plug would have held itself firmly in place, so its odd that its come out again.

Any thoughts?

Thanks
Steve

Based on your uploaded picture, supposedly you should put the curtail rail in the ceiling if there is a behind steel bar to prevent this damage.

When it comes the damage on a ceiling you should repair o replace the old ceiling.
