Hi looking for some advice, i used no nails for some battens on a newly plastered wall for a curtain pole a while ago now the batten has started to come away from the wall, I was wondering if there was anyway of getting it back into place or does it mean taking it down and starting again?
Thanks in advance

Short answer = Yes
Long answer = The glue didn't work you stand testament to that. Even if you attempt to screw it back it will look like my Mother-in-laws knicker draw. Just plain horrible/ After a certain weight is imposed on any fixture it doesn't matter if you stick it with 2:1 mortar mix it will eventually 'peel off'. If you can gently remove the rail and clean off the wall and the rail then screw it with either a plug preferably a brown one or a sheet rock fixing. They are tougher than Heinz baked beans and will probably still be there for archaeologist's to examine.
God luck
Hugh
