Composite Splashback in Kitchen

Hi all,
I am thinking of going over my tired looking tiles in the kitchen with a composite splashback - see link below. Are these any good and being only 3mm would the adhesive I fix them to the wall with show through? I would use a stainless steel splashback behind the hob.
