My neighbour is extending his boundry wall upwards by about 3ft it is allready 6ft in height and only sits on 11" foundations, at the far end he is making some sort of angular single story construction using the heightend wall to suport a timber flat roof, no notification has been made to myself about this work, which is very shoddy and no attempt has been made to point the brickwork on my side leaving it very unsightly. my main concern is that the whole structure is unsafe and could fall my way. is ithis in cotravention of building guidelines?

khyberdog,
"is ithis in cotravention of building guidelines"
If it stays up - no but it may well be contravening planning regs - there is a limit of 2m without PP.

If this is also your boundary wall it is likely to be a party wall and any work undertaken on it should be notified to the other party, ie, you.
