Is Garden Room Permitted Development or is Planning Permission Required?

Hi

I'm thinking of having a garden room built in my side garden, it would be 1m away from the boundary, be less than 50% of the garden and be 2.5m high. It would be 7.5 x 5.2m - is this too big for it to be built under permitted development?

Thanks for any replies!

If you're in a Conservation Area, it needs planning permission. I assume it is 2.5m in width? As long as that is less than half the width of the original house, and the extension doesn't protrude either the front elevation, or the rear elevation - you're all good. If it's a conservatory - it needs planning permission.
