Fire Doors Needed for Adding Bathroom to Loft Conversion?

Any advice on this gratefully received. I've asked several builders, architects and engineers and received mixed responses.
Our main loft was converted into a bedroom and bathroom in 1997. We are about to start an additional conversion of the outrigger loft, which adjoins the main loft but was not previously converted, and make this into a bathroom.
Our house retains its original internal doors, now fitted with self closing devices, but none of the existing doors are fire doors as this was not a building regs requirement in 1997 when the original loft conversion was done. As the new loft conversion will be a bathroom, and thus not a 'habitable room', will we still be required to replace all of our existing internal doors with fire doors?
