Requirements for extending kitchen into existing porch area

We would like to extend our kitchen into an area currently used as a porch/utility room. The porch is structurally part of the house so building mods are limited to new windows/doors and bricking-up a window, it was built as a porch extension filling in the original L shape space some 25 years ago. We moved into the house 3 months ago.
The work would go something like this:-
- New front door into end of hall replacing a full height hall window, no brickwork mods. (This would give access direct into house allowing for kitchen to extend in to current porch space)
- Replace existing flag shape front door that accesses porch area with standard window. (effectively becoming new end kitchen window)
- Remove existing internal door between porch and house and wall off.
- Brick up existing side porch window.
- Remove internal window from kitchen and knock out wall underneath to create one room.

Do we have to notify anyone about this work? I will have a FENSA window company to install the new door and window and use a local builder to do the walls etc. The electrics will be by a P certified electrician.

Thanks for your help..

frostysnowman,
window/doors okay as long as fensa fitted, any structual work must be calculated and approved by building regs(local Council)

So does that include removing a window and the wall under even though I know there is a lintel fitted above window? Also the bricking in work?

If removing window or door that has a supporting lintel above, that will be okay. If bricking up windows or doors you should be careful that these are not a means of fire escape.

I've now started looking into this in a bit more detail and measured up and drawn my plans out.
I've realised that the existing porch extension is single skin brick wall (except for corner - where wall meets wall).
Can I create a cavity by erecting a studded frame and infill with insulation or is it better to investigate into adding breeze block internally. I don't want the new jitchen in this area to suffer from condensation etc.
