Opening Up basement fireplace in 1870s Terraced House

by alitabatabaie » Sun May 03, 2020 12:32 am

Hi all,

We have made a start opening the basement fireplace in our 1870s terraced house.

Underneath the plaster we have found a what appears to be render or maybe breezeblock or even granite.

Would be really great to get some advice on whether there is actually a brick fireplace behind there Before we take down anymore material.

Also, any advice on potential asbestos hazards Would be appreciated
