Watching TV on a computer

A while ago I got a TV card for my computer from Aldi so I could transfer cine from cam corder to PC and it worked well.
Because my stand alone DVD recorder has failed I have looked to the PC to record TV programs and I have a program called DVB-T Plus that came with card from TEVION Multimedia and also MediaPortal which I down loaded both running on Windows XP and work of sorts but not very well and seem unable to detect all the programs available. If I re-boot into Linux Mempis and use Kaffeine then I get all channels and card works A1 but don’t really want to use Linux as most other programs I use are Microsoft windows based but shows its not a computer hardware fault but a software fault has anyone any ideas of what I can use in Windows to view TV with. With windows I get just 27 channels and half of them are radio each time I re-scan I gain some and lose some.
Thanks Eric

Have you tried updating the Windows drivers and software from the Tevion website?

Generally only the software supplied by the card manufacturer will work as it is designed specifically for that piece of hardware.

I have tried updating and if it was not for the fact it works OK in Linux I would have said my signal was not good enough. But since in Linux it found all the drivers without me down loading a thing all I had to do was scan for channels it seems odd that in Microsoft XP I have so much of a problem.
If I want to record a program from TV I have to boot into Linux which means any windows programs I can't run well I do have dosbox but that's very limited.
Seems I just have to carry on as it is then.

You could try installing CyberLink PowerCinema 4 and using that with your card. I had faulty software with my TV card i bought so see if the helps.

Kworld who made the card have now come out with new software called HyperMedia Center 3.5 V3.50.00.0095 which has redressed the problems and works A1.
Thanks Eric
