sound wires on HP laptop

Does anyone know how to take apart a HP laptop to sort out a loose wire? I have an issue with sound on my laptop - i think it's a loose wire that causes the sound to decrease in volume. It starts really loud then goes quiet. I think it could be related to the speaker wires which may be loose (I dropped laptop which may have caused this........many thanks
