Advice needed - repair lead flashing on polycarbonate roof

by bymster » Mon Sep 22, 2008 10:07 pm

Hi
We're desperate to do some preventative repairs on the roof of our conservatory but not quite sure about how to do this.
It has a sloping polycarbonate roof and one of the polycarbonate panels has slipped down about 10cm having been 'caught' and stopped by the gutter. The lead flashing at the top has slipped too. Each polycarbonate panel has a separate width of flashing, so it hasn't affected the rest of the roof at all.
We realise we need to push the panel back up but are unsure how one secures lead flashing. our house is red brick - this is the surface the lead flashing joins the roof to.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

the ideal solution is clear silicone.
You can bed the silicone directly on to the brickwork and stick the lead to it .
