Tie Bars and Polycarbonate Conservatory Roof

Hi - I have a conservatory with a polycarbonate roof. There is also a Tie Bar fitted.

Im planning on converting the room into a golf simulator and as such I need an alternative to the Tie Bar as I need the height. Is there any alternatives (apart from a Tie Wire as this will give me the same problem).

If not and I decide to change the roof to either a glass or a tiled roof I'm assuming this will negate the need for a Tie Bar and I will therefore get the full height benefit - is this correct ?

Also, typically how much will a new roof cost ? The conservatory footprint is 12ft * 8 ft.

If anyone can offer any better solutions I would really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance for any help
AJ.

The tie bars are there to prevent roof spread, The weight of a glass roof will increase the weight, and the roof was only designed for polycarb.
So you will need to have a complete new roof with upgraded bars to allow for the glass.
As for cost I don't know.
