Hi

Have you had a look at the DIY projects section of DIY Doctor: https://www.diydoctor.org.uk/projects.htm There is a porject called "Bath Repairs and Resurfacing" that may be of some use to you.

The only way to remove marks from porcelain is with a special rubber that is impregnated with diamonds. Trouble is they are about £20 for a cm2 piece! Most plumber's merchants who sell bathroom suites will have one.

will that rubber not damage the surface? also i've seen one advertised as a bath rubber on the screwfix catalogue £7.49. is that the same as the one you mention?

cheers

I have searched the Screwfix website, but I cannot find the item you mention. What is the number?

The rubber I use removes blemishes invisibly. Often, when a new sink has been transported, they arrive with marks. (Often caused by them touching each other or other hard surface.)

I sometimes have to use this repair in front of the customer, and they are always satisfied.
