How To Modify A Vanity Unit For New Sink - Ideas Needed

by papaija » Sat Nov 02, 2013 3:02 pm

Hello! Our bathroom has a really nice old looking vanity unit, but there's a hideous baby pink clam-shaped wash basin embedded in it. We want to keep the unit but replace the basin, but when we take the basin out it'll leave a rather large clam-shaped whole on top of the unit, which can't be "hidden" with a regular round basin. Any ideas how we might get around this problem or will we just need to make the whole round and try and find a basin large enough to fit into it?

you could replace the top with marble or slate and have the sink on top or inserted in it
