Subfloor Ventilation Gone Wrong - Airbricks into ACO Chanel?

by oversoon » Sun Jun 28, 2015 4:11 pm

Hello all. I need some advice please....The ground floor of our Edwardian terrace is suspended timber. Obviously this subfloor needs to be ventilated and on one side of the house, there are airbricks, however the chap who laid the patio at the back recently did not allow for airvent pipes to run under the patio, we noticed too late and now we don't have cross ventilation - the air has nowhere to go out at the back of the house. Short of ripping out the new patio, are there any other solutions? One of the builders I asked suggested air vents into the aco channel, but wouldn't that let the water in? Please help!

you could install telescopic plastic air vents this allows air to transfer from a high point to a low point
