Water in Foundations and Crawl Space Below House - Advice Needed

by Rachael1989 » Fri Jan 01, 2016 1:54 pm

Hi, I wonder if anybody here would be able to give some advice - we have recently moved into a 1930s house in Nottingham, and have noticed that after rainfall there is about a foot of water below the ground floor (in the crawl space/foundations). No damp in the property currently.

Wondering firstly whether this is normal or whether we should be worrying about it, and secondly who we should be contacting if this is something that needs to be looked into?

Really appreciate any help! Thanks, Rachael.

after the rain we have had, its normal, the ground is saturated so the water will hold there for a while.
Eventually it will disappear when there is a dry spell
