I am wanting to replace a very old small roof window above our stairs with a Velux window (the original is very drafty). Can anyone advise on the rough cost of buying and getting this installed (aprox 300mm - 600mm) - haven't a clue what I should be paying and would be helpful to have an idea before I start calling around.

Hi Romum,
It depends on the size and type you would like to purchase Plenty of sites on web that'll quote prices. I'd expect to pay for a standard type 550x750mm
Brand New about 130 pound.
Have a look about on web and in stores and don't be affraid to offer less.
