metal shed on paving slabs

i will be putting a metal shed (10' x 12') on paving slabs, how should i prepare the ground, do i need a waterproof membrane etc ?
or do i just strip off the lawn and put the slabs on it ?

depends on what you're keping in the shed, my metal shed was just on paving slabs and had no problems. The metal sheds heat up in the summer and if the ground is moist you may get a fair bit condensation on the inside of the shed roof. So if being used for storing plaster etc then you will need a water proff membrane or, install a wooden floor.
