This is probably very random on this site but I need help on how to make a base to support a large MDF sheet so I can use it for an exhibition show. I have attached an image of how I want my final board to look (i wish to attach shelves and hang frames). but I can't think of how to construct a supporting base.
I hope someone can help me!
Many thanks - Kerry

the shelf is actually hollow with a piece of flat steel welded, with 2 arms to it and fits inside the shelf, and its bolted securely to the wall, then the shelf slides over the steel, if that makes sense,

Thank you so much Welsh Brickie for your quick reply but I have the 'floating' shelves already - I am trying to work out how to make a base or stand that will hold a large sheet or MDF so I can use it for the exhibition. Ie. I wish to make a portable fake wall that will have shelves etc on it?
I hope that makes sense? Thanks for your help so far!

oh sorry ,Then I would suggest you have a metal frame made so you could bolt the mdf to and have feet on the frame so it can be free standing
