wall?
I want to put a fire surround flat against a platerboard wall. It had mounting brackets. Is there an easy way to conceal the mounting brackets or are they usually on display?
Thanks

What you could do is screw 2 vertical batons to the wall that fit tight to the inside of the surround.

You then screw through the side of the surround and into the batons. All you need to do after that is cover the screws with caps or if its a natural wood surround you could countersink them and then cover over them with filler before decorating.
