Repairing crumbling sandstone

I have noticed a deterioration to the sandstone in my building. It seems to be one isolated area.
Can anyone suggest how to deal with it? The building is about 100 years old.
I'd be grateful for any advice.

that look quite bad you could replace the stone but would recommend using proffesional tradesmen.
To prevent any more damage try sealing the stone work with a silicone based liquid. aquaseal or similar product.
Try your insurance company first they might foot the bill.
