I have recently purchased a house and want to fit a woodburner. i have opened up the old chimney opening to find that it has been lined with a concrete/micafil mix which looks ok. the problem is the dia is only about 150mm so not big enough for an open fire(not class1)the other problem is that it says that you need 1 meter of vitrous enamel pipework before connecting to existing flue or twin wall liner but the gap between wood burner and start of concrete infill is only 300mm? do i need to open up chimney brest and remove conc infill so i am able to fit 1 m flue pipe also can i use exsisting con/micafil liner or do i also need a s/s liner. thanks for looking.
