Hi, Im a nebie and its my first post :D
I have to build 3 garden walls for 3 seperate neighbours and I am doing my calculations here and im not to sure about the figures that I have come up with for the quantity of blocks and bricks I need.
The first wall is 6350 mm long which I have worked out roughly will take 14/15 blocks...correct? They want a brick on edge capping on the wall aswell so do I simply multiply 15 x 6 (6 bricks to a block) = 90 bricks?
The second wall is 6250 mm which again is 14 blocks long with a brick on edge capping so again I just multiply 14 x 6 = 84 bricks?
The 3rd and final wall is 5060 mm long so lets say 12 blocks long again a brick capping so 12 x 6 = 72 bricks?
That would equal 246 bricks for cappings alone..does that not sound a little excessive?
I also have to build a brick and a half pier at the end of these walls which is going 1125 mm = 180 bricks?
All together thats 426 bricks needed? Im a bit out of practice in quantifing and im wondering am I correct?
