Piers needed?

I am looking at taking a wall down between current kitchen and dining room. I have had it checked and it is not load bearing, there is just space above it. My question is whether I need piers. The combined kitchen and dining room internal wall will be a little under 5 metres long, have two doorways in it and be tired in to structural walls on either end. The question is do I need some kind of pier along the length of the wall? The wall is about 130mm thick.

There is also the wall on the external side which will have a span of about 8 metres, will this need a pier? What is the minimum width of pier I can get away with?
