Hi,
I'm thinking about putting in a concrete path on my front garden. The garden has a 1 in 5 gradient. I want to go across this gradient, I assume I will need footings and something to hold back soil and someway make the path level.
I was planning to use shuttering and pour the stuff in, but I'm not sure I haven't missed something.
Any Ideas?

I would be inclined to lay mesh down first it will hold the concrete better

i don't know if you'd necessarily need footings, i'd probably be inclined to build up with Type 1 scaplings, tamp down and pour on top of that. though does depend on the exact nature of the site.
