Brick work leaning near roof

Hi,
This is the first time I have posted on the site, but have looked at the forum over the years.
So here is my problem if anyone could help.
I have a terrace house built in the 1880's, and I have just been up to clear the gutters and the top of wall is leaning quite a lot inwards, the size is approx 2ft square, just under the roof facia
After examing the guttering etc, where it is leaning the gutter is about 3" away from the wall so the water was running down the roof and down the wall. Could this be the cause off it.
Would it be a big job to repair.
Thanks
Rob
