Using Brick Slips for Brick Veneere - What Fixing Agent is Best to use?

by mrdwy » Thu Nov 05, 2015 10:12 am

I need to build some Brick veneer as a backing for a log burner, my intension is to remove the plaster from the area to be veneered, then fix brick slips to the block work leaving the bricks flush with the surrounding plaster. the Plaster has a depth of around 20 - 25 mm
My question is what would be the best way or the best fixing agent for the brick slips. this will need to be heat resistant because of the wood burner.

Any help appreciated

you need a cement based flexible tile adhesive, your local builders merchants will have it in stock
