Help Needed Identifying Plugs Drilled and Hammered into House Wall

Hi everyone, I have noticed two of these in my house wall today... This one is head height and the other one is about 15 foot above the ground. Both are on the same corner but on either wall - if you know what I mean. They have appeared over the last week while I have been away. I have no idea what they are for or who put them there. Obviously a hole has been drilled and the 'plug' has been hammered in. They are about 8mm across. Hopefully something innocent! Any ideas?

some one got the wrong adress or you are being spied on,take them out and have a look.
