Sealing Internal Brickwork With PVA to Prevent Dust

by StevenSmith » Mon Jan 23, 2017 2:19 pm

I have an old house with stone walls which generate an incredible amount of dust. I have read on this forum that you can seal the internal walls with a PVA solution. Can anybody tell me what the pros and cons are, and in particular -
1. How much do I dilute the PVA?
2. Will sealing the walls with PVA encourage mould to grow?

Thanks

painting the wall with P.V.A wont harm the wall, it would need more than a few coats of it, to completely seal the wall, which I don't recommend . A 4:1 ratio solution will be fine
