Chimney heating nightmare advice pleeeeaase

Bought old house found fire places blocked up, we have opened and cleaned them, we have looked in attic and see that the old owner chopped off chimney and dumped all the rubble down the flue, we know that as it all fell out over our carpet when we opened the fire place. how nice aye. you can put your hands down the cavity.
We bought a £400 wood burner and thought we could get a builder-chimney person to come and build new chimney . NO WAY . out of the ten people we called a mere NONE are interested in doing it. they all have other HIGH value jobs
any advice "please dont say sell it"
Can i just buy black pipe and put it through the wall and take it up the side of the house ? the back of the fire place is single skin.
one of the very helpful chimney persons "thats what ill call them" dont want to be rude. told us that we cannot have the pipe external up the outside of the house. as the pipe will be straight up and this does not have enough updraught as it
1 needs to be curved is that true?
2 needs to have a flat plate over the inside of the chimney
on top of the burner?
3 needs a V shaped plate on top of that that he "must" have
made specially
By this point i expected him to tell us that the pipes needs to be able to do laundry and cater for bahmitzfas.
We have no central heating and now have an "ornamental" wood burner.
and we are freeeeeeezing. oh and our gas central heating is going to take another 9 weeks. as its being replaced. as it was condemed.
we do have an electric fire and luckily that only uses about 27 million pounds worth of electricity a month.
help advice appreciated greatly
