Hi all…new to this forum
Lover of diy, will have a crack at anything, within reason, if not, I call in the big guns.
Anyhoo, I have an issue…I am replacing bricks in place of old soil pipes, bath, sink & shower drainers & overflows.
The bricks I bought, are the standard 215mm in length, however, the existing bricks are about 230mm in length, or an imperial size. I have tried to get hold of the same size, but no joy, especially with the same colour or texture. Anyway, my question is…How would you fit the bricks that I bought (215) Would you lay them with huge mortar joints, or maybe split some bricks & have the odd “header” brick bond.
I thought about going with the latter, as I am concerned with mortar shrinkage?!
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
