I have a section of garden wall, 8m x 2m double skin red brick, that has collapsed. I want it rebuilding using as much original material as possible.

How much should I be looking to pay for a builder to do it? I've seen all the rogue traders, etc, on TV and don't want to be ripped off.

B,

CLEANING UP OLD MATERIALS FOR RE-USE IS TIME CONSUMING AND THEREFORE EXPENSIVE.

IT MAY BE CHEEPER TO HAVE A NEW WALL BUILT ALTOGETHER.

ALWAYS USE RECOMMENDED BUILDERS AND GET 3-4 PRICES TO SEE IF THERE IS A MARKED DIFFERENCE IN PRICE FOR SAME JOB AND MATERIALS.

SOMETIMES A BRICKY (NOT BUILDER) CAN DO THE JOB QUICKER AND CHEEPER.

PRICES ARE ALSO DEPENDENT ON THE AREA YOU LIVE IN.
