Decking Stain

Just complete my decking ( one week ago) and due to work and rain !!!!!! I have not treated yet . Do I need to treat the first year as it is already treated (got boards from wickes)
The reason I ask is a friend at work has not treated his for a year and he said it want be a problem !!
Some expert advice would be good thank you :!:

It depends if it was treated before you bought it or not?if it wasnt then you need to treat is as soon as possbile but if you bought it ready treated then you dont need to do it for a while.

Please dnt leave it too late! We have replaced many decks which people have left to long before treating. Good luck!

If the deck is from wickes pre treated range, or any other pressure treated decking then it will be perfectly safe to leave for a while, however to ensure the best finish, you would need to stain it as soon as you can to ensure a uniform finish.
Some decking will never require staining but it is very expensive.
Thermo-wood etc.
Ensure you use a proper decking treatment as fencing and shed treatments are not designed for the level of wear of a deck
