Deck footing depth and using post shoes

I'm building a deck attached to my house, it'll only be about 50cm above ground at the highest point but to extend the life of it as long as possible, rather than burying the uprights in the ground I'm looking at using these post shoes (pictured) in concrete. Anyone think these won't be ok? The fins will be buried 20cm into concrete, I can't see how that'll be any different than those concrete feet you can buy?

Hi bignose69,
Your proposal should be fine but the clamp pockets will retain moisture which may accelerate rotting of the uprights. I have found that laying 100mm dense concrete block flat under each upright and dipping the upright in preservative before fitting work well.
