Waterproof stone sink

I have an antique stone sink which I use as a bird bath in the garden. Any suggestions how I can waterproof its inner surface without spoiling its apperarnce
Being a stone sink, it should be waterproof.
Thompson's make a waterproofing liquid, that causes rain to run off cement and bricks, it may help.
