Which router?

by cresser » Sat Jun 22, 2013 7:34 am

Hi, I am after an entry-level router, that can be mounted on a router table. I have an Einhell model, but it cannot be used upside down on a table, because the power on button is in the handle, let go of this and it stops. Any tips. Cheers. cresser.

Hi, If entry-level means cheap, I really would suggest breaking the piggy bank, have a look at the Trend range for example, switches are designed for table use. Any decent table will have a no-volt safety switch mounted on it that the the router plugs into.

Personal opinion only, but I would go with Trend, for the reason that most accessories come from them, and everything fits without any adaptors, or sub bases.

Take a look at the Axminster Tool Centre site.
