Help Needed in Choosing a Portable Angle Grinder

by Fido-X » Sat Nov 12, 2016 7:17 pm

Hello everyone, i'm gonna buy a new angle grinder and i'll use it mainly for CUTTING METAL.
I already have one old 9 in (230 mm) angle grinder which i use for grinding, sanding and cup steel brush.

I want my new angle grinder to be:

- Manufactured by: BOSCH PROFESSIONALL or MAKITA or METABO (i don't trust in BOSCH HOBBY)

- Robust, powerfull, corded, portable

- I want minimum cutting disc diameter size to be 7 in (180 mm)

The metal i'm gonna cut is gonna be:

1. STEEL bars, pipes and sheet metal (most materials i work with is steel)

2. CAST IRON

3. INOX

4. ALLOY STEEL (rarely found)

SO I'D LIKE TO KNOW SHOULD I BUY A 7 in (180 mm) or 9 in (230 mm) ANGLE GRINDER.

WHICH ONE OF THEM IS BETTER FOR CUTTING?

Thanks in advance.

Most probably Milwaukee Power Tools 2680-20 is a good fit for you. For details look for the specification.

I found Ryobi to be very reliable & tuff tools. Worth a look at around £65.00 is:
Ryobi EAG2000RS 9-inch Angle Grinder with Rotating Back Handle, 2000 W
As you might know, the blades are the most important thing with any cutter.
