Installing Loft Legs After Laying Insulation

Hi guys,
I'm looking to put in some basic tongue and groove boards in my 30's semi attic. It's had a lot of insulation put in by one of those government schemes so it looks like I'm going to need some loft legs.
Is it a pain to put them in after the insulation has been laid? Seems like quite a faff so wondering if there are any quicker options.
