Hotel Carpet Indecision - Old Decor but Want to add a Modern Edge

Myself and my wife have recently taken over ownership of a new hotel which needs drastic renovation work. It's a period property and the decor is very old fashioned. We want to retain part of this look, but add a modern edge to the design. We're currently struggling to decide which carpets to have in the main communal areas of the building. We're looking for a patterned carpet, which has a mix of modern and traditional, but we're struggling to find anything we like! Any ideas? Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Harrym,
We find the whole interior design aspect quite a challenge too, but we have discovered that Dulux do a Design Service that is surprisingly affordable and give you access to an interior designer that will be able help you on a room by room basis:

Good luck with the project and it'd be great to see any photos. Let us know when your open for business too!
