Hi, we are going to be building a side extension in a few months and just trying to get some points of view on what people think would work best in terms of layout. The extension will compromise of porch, new hallway with toilet, downstairs office, utility and then rear room. The plan at present is to site the kitchen in the rear part of the extension, dining in centre of house and lounge area to the back with doors opening to the patio. The width of the house will be 9m. The garden slopes down so the rear doors need to go up where the patio is as it is on a higher level. We have to keep a pillar where existing rear corner of house. What do people think about layout?
