I just want to re-decorate my bedroom, planning to buy a lamp beside my bed. I hope my room is that neither too bright nor too dark when lighting up. What kind of lamps would you buy? How about the floor lamp?

I find the paper shade gives the room a not too bright, not too dull look. But of course it will also depend on the type of bulb you use. I'd recommend a warm color - up to 3000K - not daylight or cool. Warm is best for reading and gives the room a less clinical feel.

i have a floor lamp with a paper shade but the bulb is 30w, it's perfect for me but you might prefer it a bit dimmer or brighter so i'd suggest trying out different bulbs

Thinking about changing your bedroom's look, replacing bedroom lights with modern ones would be a better idea as they include some additional features. Also, dimmable lights are one of the best options for your room. The style of the lamp is totally someone's personal preference, you can pick a lamp that will fit with your bedroom decor.

Floor lamps are great for lighting a space. You could get one with a dimmer so you have some control over how bright it gets.

You may also want to include a bedside lamp for reading in the evening.
