13A socket spur

by Rastanking » Fri Mar 12, 2010 5:38 pm

Hi everyone,

I know there is a 'how to' guide for this question but there are a few questions that still need answering.

1. The socket I want to use has 3 live, 3 negative and 3 earth going into it can I use this to add another spur even though it had an existing spur to an exterior light?

2. If I can't use this one which one could I use, ie how many wires would it have to have going in/coming out of it.

Thanks in advance

hi,
although the regs don't specifically forbid it there are possible problems with adding another spur.
First total load on the connections electrically and the lack of space for 4 wires in each,
I would look elsewhere if possible,
regards
