I have fitted a replacement 2gang dimmer switch for two sets of three down lighters in same room. Previous switch was broken and terminals not quite the same.
One switch is dimming fine and the other will only switch on & off at full and not dim. I expect it’s just a simple wiring problem but thought I had it right. Any ideas please?

……Continued. Brown wire to Com on both terminals, black to L1 on one terminal and grey to L1 on the other. Earth from switch plate to box casing.
Have tried swapping from L1s to L2s but the same result.

The colour of wire makes no difference, was the previous switch a dimmer? if so did it work ok?
