hi, i recently purchased a new switch as our old had tarnished, turns out the new switch is 1 gang 2 way and the old switch was 1 gang 1 way. the new switch has L1, L2 and COM inside and earth in the casing. which terminal do i use for 1 way switching please? many thanks

Hi trevor123,
Red or Brown switch to common (c)
Black or Blue switch wire to L1 but would work in L2
Earth to earth terminal
Be safe and remember to isolate safely before carrying out any work.
